Book Review

I badly wanted to post something here... something worth reading... thats when i came up with this idea of a book review....

This is not really an expert's review.. but all the same a review..
The book is "Memoirs of a geisha" by Arthur Golden...
Arthur golden's novel opens up a new world where you get transported to another time, another place, and feel that you're listening and seeing with someone else's eyes...The novel is an account of the life of a geisha named sayuri.... The book describes vividly every single detail of the geisha's life and most importantly clears all doubts in the minds of the readers ... the book boldly explains that a geisha is not a prostitute as many people understand it to be.....

The life of Sayuri makes us triumph , suffer , dream and doubt together with her.. all the way through her life…
The book ends with these lines, which sum up life in a very philosophical manner...

" Whatever our struggles and triumphs, however we may suffer them, all too soon they bleed into a wash, just like watery ink on paper"

A novel which is endlessly fascinating... a narrative that is both gripping and beautifully paced.. it is a wonderful read...
